Terms of Use
Instructions for using user accounts at
The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences, GIH
Use of GIH's IT services aims to facilitate studies, research and related tasks. Other use may be permitted on the condition that it does not interfere with ordinary work tasks or cause damage to GIH. For employees and others working at the respective institution or unit, [PREFEKT/EQUIVALENT] is responsible for the assessment of permitted use.
For the user account specifically:
- that all use of user accounts and computer networks must comply with Sweden's laws and regulations
- that user accounts are lent to the holder while he is active at the college and will then be deactivated
- that user accounts, passwords and codes are personal and may only be used by the owner
- that the user must immediately change the password if there is suspicion or knowledge that someone other than the owner has gained access to passwords and/or codes
- that the user must immediately report to GIH's IT Service if there is a suspicion that a third party has gained access to passwords and/or codes and had the opportunity to misuse them
- that the user follows guidelines for the IT services that user accounts give access to (both within and outside the college) and thereby actively contributes to maintaining a correct level of security
- that the owner must follow SUNET's ethical rules
In case of suspicion of violations of these rules, the college reserves the right to deactivate the user account and, if necessary, submit the report to the personnel responsibility committee or the disciplinary committee for further processing. GIH also reserves the right to deactivate the user account with immediate effect if there is suspicion that a third party has access to the user account.
